A child abduction alert system (also Child Alert, AMBER Alert or Child Rescue Alert) is a tool used to alert the public in cases of worrying or life-threatening disappearances of children.
== Europe ==

At present, there are AMBER Alert systems working in 12 EU countries: Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugaland Romania.〔http://ec.europa.eu/justice/fundamental-rights/rights-child/alert-mechanism/index_en.htm〕 Additionally, in November 2013, the Polish Child Alert has been founded〔http://www.newpolandexpress.pl/polish_news_story-6074-child_alert_to_be_launched.php〕 and in March 2015 the Slovakian AMBER Alert was launched.〔http://pr.euractiv.com/pr/amber-alert-slovakia-europe-s-first-cross-border-child-rescue-alert-launches-bratislava-126228〕 These systems aim at quickly disseminating relevant information about a very worrying child disappearance to the general public at large, through a variety of channels, thus increasing the chances of finding the child.
